Paint Protection Film

Paint Protection Film is a thin, transparent thermoplastic urethane film applied directly to your vehicle’s painted surfaces. It acts as a sacrificial barrier — absorbing the impact of rock chips, road debris, bug splatter, and road salt so your paint doesn’t have to. Suntec’s PPF also features self-healing properties, meaning minor scratches and swirl marks disappear on their own when exposed to heat.

Yes — “clear bra” is just an older nickname for Paint Protection Film. Both refer to the same product. The term “clear bra” originally came from early PPF applications that only covered the front end of the vehicle, similar to a bra. Today’s PPF technology has advanced significantly and can now cover the entire vehicle.

With proper care, PPF can last up to 10 years. All of our PPF packages come with a 10-year manufacturer product warranty and a 2-year installation warranty for added peace of mind.

Not at all. PPF is optically clear and virtually invisible once installed. Your vehicle’s colour, gloss, and finish will look exactly the same — just better protected. Our premium film is engineered to resist discolouration.

Yes — when installed and removed correctly by a professional, PPF comes off cleanly without damaging your paint. In fact, the paint underneath is often in better condition than an unprotected vehicle’s paint of the same age. We always recommend professional removal to avoid any risk.

For the first week after installation, avoid washing your vehicle, exposing it to extreme conditions, or picking at the film edges. After that, regular washing is fine — just avoid high-pressure jets directly at the film edges. You can wax or use a ceramic spray over PPF, and we recommend a pH-neutral car soap to keep the film in top shape.

They serve different purposes and work best together. PPF is a physical barrier that protects against rock chips, scratches, and physical damage. Ceramic coating is a chemical layer that repels water, dirt, and UV rays while adding a deep gloss. PPF protects from impact — ceramic coating protects from contamination. Many clients choose to apply a ceramic coating over their PPF for the ultimate in protection and appearance.
